Kybervega / How We Evaluate
How We Evaluate
The criteria and sources behind Kybervega’s guidance, and the limits of what we claim.
The method, in four stages
Every Guide and Solutions page follows the same research route. Commercial relationships affect which offers we can recommend and where links appear. They do not change the evidence or the criteria.
- ResearchEvidenceWe use provider documentation and terms, publicly observable information and general industry practice. We keep these distinct from our own observations: where we have directly tested or used something, we say so explicitly on the page.
- EvaluationSame criteriaThe same 12 criteria are applied to every provider or option we cover, whether or not Kybervega has a commercial relationship with it.
- ComparisonSame dimensionsSolutions pages present a curated selection of options grouped by business need and described on the same dimensions. We publish no user-submitted reviews, star ratings or rankings built on unsupported metrics.
- Commercial linksStatedSome providers may pay Kybervega if you follow a link and complete a qualifying purchase. Pages with affiliate links say so before the first offer.

Commercial relationships can decide which offers we are able to recommend. They do not change the evidence we report or how we describe fit, limits and trade-offs.
Commercial relationships and curation
Some providers may pay Kybervega if you follow a link and complete a qualifying purchase. We disclose this in our Affiliate Disclosure and on pages where commercial links appear.
Commercial relationships can determine which offers are available for us to recommend, so the products on Solutions pages are a curated selection. Relationships do not change the facts we report, and they do not justify fabricated claims, fake testing, invented rankings, hidden drawbacks or unsupported claims that a product is the best. We still describe fit, limitations and trade-offs clearly. We apply the same criteria to products with no commercial relationship to Kybervega.
What our guides are, and what they are not
Kybervega’s Guides explain categories of business technology and how to evaluate them. Solutions pages present a curated selection of options by business need, some through affiliate links. Guides are informational research; Solutions pages are curated commercial recommendations. Neither is a laboratory test, an audit or personalised advice, and neither should be treated as legal, financial, security or compliance advice.
What we look at
The same criteria are applied to every provider or option we cover, whether or not Kybervega has a commercial relationship with it. Not every criterion is relevant to every category.
Intended business use
What the product or service is designed for, and whether that matches the situation described.
Reliability
Stated uptime or availability commitments, how they are measured, and any public track record.
Support
Availability, channels and scope of support, and what it does and does not cover.
Security
Documented security controls, responsibilities that stay with the customer, and how issues are disclosed.
Integration compatibility
How well it works with the tools a business commonly already uses, and the standards it supports.
Scalability
What changes as usage grows: limits, upgrade paths and how costs behave.
Portability
How easily data and configuration can be exported, and where lock-in exists.
Pricing structure and renewals
How pricing is built, what is excluded, and how renewal costs compare with introductory offers.
Implementation complexity
The skills, time and effort needed to set up and maintain it.
Geographic fit
Where it operates, where data is stored, and whether it suits customers in particular regions.
Public documentation
The clarity, completeness and currency of the provider’s own documentation.
Important limitations
What it does not do well, and the situations where another approach is better.
Where information comes from
We separate the kinds of evidence behind a statement so you can judge how much weight it deserves.
| Source | What it tells us | Its limits |
|---|---|---|
| Provider documentation and terms | Stated features, limits, policies and commitments | Describes intent rather than real-world performance, and can change without notice |
| Publicly observable information | Public pricing pages, status pages, changelogs and published independent material | A snapshot in time, and may be incomplete |
| General industry practice | Established technical and commercial knowledge about how a category works | Not specific to any one provider |
| Our own observations | Anything we have directly tested or used, stated explicitly where it applies | Limited in scope, and reflects the conditions at the time |
Unless a page states that we directly tested or used a product, treat its description as based on the sources above. We do not describe a product as tested without a documented test.
Keeping pages current
We revisit Guides and Solutions pages when material information changes, such as pricing structure, terms or product changes, or when an error is reported to us. Plans, prices and terms change frequently, so always confirm current details with the provider before deciding.
Corrections
If something is wrong or out of date, please email info@kybervega.com. We will review it and update the page where appropriate.
